Mike McGavick
Michael Sean McGavick (born February 7, 1958) is an American business executive and a graduate of the University of Washington. McGavick was the Republican nominee for the US Senate seat held by Maria Cantwell in the 2006 election, but Cantwell retained her seat. In March 2008, global insurance company XL Group plc () – formerly XL Capital Ltd prior to officially changing its name and domicile in 2010 – announced that McGavick would take over as CEO beginning on May 1, 2008. With 4,000 employees, XL Group headquartered in Bermuda and Stamford, Connecticut, and about 60 offices in more than 20 countries. Slade Gorton
Thomas Slade Gorton III (January 8, 1928 – August 19, 2020) was an American lawyer and politician who served as a United States Senator from Washington from 1981 to 1987 and again from 1989 until 2001. A member of the Republican Party, he held both of the state's U.S. Senate seats in his career and was narrowly defeated for reelection twice, first in 1986 by Brock Adams and again in 2000 by Maria Cantwell following a recount. KIRO (710 kHz "Seattle Sports") is a commercial AM radio station in Seattle, Washington, owned by Salt Lake City–based Bonneville International. The station airs a sports radio format and is an ESPN Radio Network affiliate. The station's studios and offices are located on Eastlake Avenue in Seattle's Eastlake district. KIRO is a Class A clear channel station. It broadcasts at the maximum power for commercial AM radio stations, 50,000 watts. By day, it uses a non-directional antenna.
