Michael McCoy (born September 16, 1944, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan) is an American industrial designer and educator who has made significant contributions to American design and design education in the latter half of the 20th century. McCoy is best known as the co-chair of the graduate program in Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art where he and spouse Katherine McCoy pioneered semantic approaches to design. Education and career Michael McCoy graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Industrial Design. During his career as an Industrial Designer, McCoy has worked with corporations such as Philips Electronics, Formica Corporation, NEC, Steelcase among many. As a designer, McCoy is best known for his work with furniture manufacturer Knoll International. Michael P. McCoy (born April 1, 1972) is an American football coach and former player who is the quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He has previously spent time as quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers, the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, and four seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers. Playing career After graduating from San Marin High School in Novato, California, McCoy attended California State University, Long Beach, where he redshirted his first year. During his redshirt freshman season in 1991, McCoy played in eight games for the Long Beach State 49ers, starting five of them. He completed 87 of 165 passes for 938 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers, the Oakland Raiders, the New York Giants, and the Detroit Lions. Michael Howard McCoy (born April 2, 1981) is a former professional baseball utility player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays. In his career, McCoy played every position, with the exception of catcher and first base. Early life McCoy attended Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California before playing for the San Diego Toreros baseball team from 2000-2002. Michael McCoy (born November 21, 1962) is an American amateur golfer from West Des Moines, Iowa. McCoy is an insurance executive and is also the 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur champion. He won the honor in 2013 in Birmingham, Alabama. As U.S. Mid-Amateur champion, McCoy was invited to the 2014 Masters Tournament. He shot 78-83=161 to miss the cut. McCoy was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and his son Nate, also an amateur golfer, currently acts as his caddy. McCoy's ancestors originally came to the United States from Ireland in the early 1900s, settling first in Pennsylvania before moving to Iowa. Michael Vernon McCoy (September 10, 1948October 17, 2021) was an American businessman. As a minority owner and vice-president of the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL), he was credited with inventing the trade-value draft chart. He also worked in the oil and gas industry. Early years McCoy was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on September 10, 1948. He attended the University of Oklahoma and obtained a degree in petroleum engineering. Mike "Mouse" McCoy (born August 7, 1969) is an American film director, producer, and chief executive officer of the multimedia studio Bandito Brothers. Before entering the entertainment industry, McCoy worked as a professional motorcycle racer and stunt man. He starred in ''Dust to Glory'' (2004), about a motorcycle race called the Baja 1000, and was co-director and producer of the military action film ''Act of Valor'' (2012). The Baja 1000 is an annual Mexican off-road motorsport race held on the Baja California Peninsula. It is one of the most prestigious off-road races in the world, having attracted competitors from six continents. The race was founded by Ed Pearlman in 1967 and is sanctioned by SCORE International. The race is the final round of a four-race annual series, which also includes the San Felipe 250, the Baja 400 and the Baja 500. The 2017 Baja 1000 marked the 50th anniversary of the race. The Brothers Four
The Brothers Four is an American folk singing group, founded in 1957 in Seattle, Washington, and known for their 1960 hit song "Greenfields." History Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, and Dick Foley met at the University of Washington, where they were members of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in 1956 (hence the "Brothers" appellation). Their first professional performances were the result of a prank played on them in 1958 by a rival fraternity, who had arranged for someone to call them, pretend to be from Seattle's Colony Club, and invite them to come down to audition for a gig.
