Mike Marshall (outfielder)
Michael Allen Marshall (born January 12, 1960), nicknamed "Moose" is an American former professional baseball player and current commissioner of the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. He played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1981 to 1991, most notably as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers with whom he was named an All-Star player and won a world championship in . He also played for the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox and the California Angels. After his major league career, he played one season in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Nippon Ham Fighters in 1992. Marshall served as president and general manager of the Chico Outlaws of the North American League. Michael Grant "Iron Mike" Marshall (January 15, 1943 – May 31, 2021) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 1967 and from 1969 through 1981 for nine different teams. Marshall won the National League Cy Young Award in 1974 as a Los Angeles Dodger and was a two-time All-Star selection. He was the first relief pitcher to receive the Cy Young Award. Early life Marshall was born in Adrian, Michigan, on January 15, 1943. He attended Adrian High School in his hometown, before studying at Michigan State University. He was signed as an amateur free agent by the Philadelphia Phillies on September 13, 1960. Career Marshall did not pitch professionally until 1965 in the minor leagues. Marshall was purchased by the Detroit Tigers in 1966. He made his Major League debut with the Tigers on May 31, 1967, pitching one inning against the Cleveland Indians. Mike Marshall (born Michael James Marshall, July 17, 1957 in New Castle, Pennsylvania) is a bluegrass mandolinist who has collaborated with David Grisman and Darol Anger. He grew up in Lakeland, Florida. When he was 18, he won Florida state contests on fiddle and mandolin. He considers his discovery of David Grisman's music a significant event in his life, admiring how Grisman combined jazz and Latin styles into his own form of bluegrass. After Marshall moved to California, he collaborated with Grisman on film music and soon after was invited by Grisman to join the quintet. He was a member of the David Grisman Quintet from 1985–1990, touring with Jerry Douglas, Béla Fleck, Tony Rice, Mark O'Connor, Stéphane Grappelli, and Darol Anger. Mike Marshall (ca. 1947 – 1975) was an American inventor best known for his co-invention, with John Stalberger, of the sport footbag and the Hacky Sack in 1972. Marshall was living in Oregon when he met Stalberger. Stalberger was undergoing rehabilitation for his knee and so he began to exercise with Marshall, who was kicking around a homemade beanbag. Michael Marshall (September 13, 1944 – June 2, 2005) was a French American actor. Early life and career Marshall was born in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a hospital in Hollywood on September 13, 1944. When his parents divorced, his father made sure that he received an American education. He began studying law, but dreamed of becoming an actor. He later joined his mother in Paris. Marshall began to take drama classes from Raymond Griard and later directed his first film, ''Potato'', in France under the direction of Robert Thomas, adapted from the play's eponymous Marcel Achard. Soultans
Soultans is an all-male R&B band notable predominantly in Europe, but also for signing on for a short contract with BMG. The Soultans originally consisted of three members and is based in Germany, although two of its members have English ties. The group resides under the German label, Coconut Records, which has also kick-started other small bands' careers. The lead vocalist, Marvin Broadie, and musician Marco Boi, were later replaced by Sascha van Haasen and Mike Marshall in 2002. Although the band suggested its inspirations as 1970's music, Soultans has added elements of hip hop, jazz and soul to their music, following in the lines of Londonbeat, another English band. The group is most notable for its popular 1996 songs, "Can't take my hands off you" and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine".
