Mike Lucas (born March 7, 1959) is an American football coach. From 2007 through the 2011 season he was the head football coach at Southeastern Louisiana University located in Hammond, Louisiana Hammond is the largest city in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located east of Baton Rouge and northwest of New Orleans. Its population was 20,019 in the 2010 U.S. census, and 21,359 at the 2020 population estimates program. Ham ...—the 14th football coach at the school. He was released from his duties as head coach at Southeastern Louisiana on November 21, 2011. Personal life In November 2008, Lucas underwent surgery which successfully repaired a heart valve. Liberty University (LU) is a private Baptist university in Lynchburg, Virginia. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (Southern Baptist Convention). Founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell Sr. and Elmer L.
