Open Hand is an American rock band, first formed in Hollywood, California in 1997. History Open Hand was formed in Hollywood, California in 1997 by guitarist/vocalist Justin Isham. With bassist Michael Anastasi and drummer Alex Rodriguez, they released two EPs on Justin's own label, American Propaganda: Radio Days in 1998 and Evolutions in 1999. After touring, the band signed with Trustkill Records in 1999. In 2000, Trustkill issued ''The Dream'', a collection of the band's two EPs and bonus unreleased material. They went on to release the album "You and Me" in 2005 on Trustkill / Roadrunner Records. The band went on to tour extensively all over the world from 2005 to 2009. Open Hand released their next album, ''Honey,'' on Anodyne Records in 2010. On April 20, 2020, the band released a remixed, remastered, and re-sequenced version of ''Honey'' for its 10th anniversary. Gil Sharone
Gil Sharone is an American drummer and member of the rock bands Stolen Babies, Team Sleep, and formerly The Dillinger Escape Plan and Marilyn Manson. He was also a fill in for the punk rock band +44. His twin brother is Rani Sharone, also of Stolen Babies. Sharone is highly regarded as one of the most versatile touring/session drummers in the world, due to his work on classic-styled ska, Rocksteady and reggae, while also working in punk rock and industrial metal. Career Sharone supported Mark Hoppus's band +44 when Travis Barker broke his arm. Gil toured around Europe, Japan and Australia with +44 in early 2007. It is believed he learned all of +44's setlist on the flight from America to Europe. He played on Travis's OCDP Drum Kit, which is a custom made transparent green. Jason Gerken is an American musician, who has played in Molly McGuire, Shiner, Open Hand, Project 86, and most recently, HUM as well as The Birth Defects and Sie Lieben Maschinen. Gerken took over for Bryan St. Pere of HUM, when he decided to part ways with the band. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. The four-string bass is usually tuned the same as the double bass, which corresponds to pitches one octave lower than the four lowest-pitched strings of a guitar (typically E, A, D, and G). Beau Burchell (born December 17, 1978) is an American musician, record producer, and audio engineer from Orange County, California. As a performer, he is best known as the guitarist and backing vocalist in Saosin. He is one of Saosin's founders, and the band's only remaining member who has played with the band through its entire existence. He has previously been a member of Kosmos Express and Open Hand. Burchell also has a prolific reputation as a record producer. He has been credited on over thirty albums of various types of punk rock. He also owns the record label Death Do Us Part.
