Michael Monroe Lewis (born October 15, 1960) Gale Biography In Context. is an American author and financial journalist. He has also been a contributing editor to '' Vanity Fair'' since 2009, writing mostly on business, finance, and economics. He is known for his nonfiction work, particularly his coverage of financial crises and behavioral finance. Lewis was born in New Orleans and attended Princeton University, from which he graduated with a degree in art history. After attending the London School of Economics, he began a career on Wall Street during the 1980s as a bond salesman at Salomon Brothers. The experience prompted him to write his first book, ''Liar's Poker'' (1989). Fourteen years later, Lewis wrote '' Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game'' (2003), in which he investigated the success of Billy Beane and the Oakland Athletics. Michael Llewellyn Lewis (born 29 June 1974) is an Australian cricketer. Grade career and state career Born in Greensborough, Victoria, Lewis was a grade cricketer who played for Northcote and the Victorian Bushrangers gave him his first-class debut in the 1999/2000 season. Over the next few years, he re-modelled his action and considerably improved his game, and had outstanding seasons in 2002/03, 2003/04 (the season in which Victoria won the Pura Cup) and 2004/05. He was one of two Australian overseas players for Durham CCC in 2006 (the other was Jimmy Maher, brought back on the back of success as a back-up in 2005. Michael Augustine Owen Lewis (born 8 June 1953) is an Anglican bishop, born in England, who served in the Middle East. Michael Lewis (born January 10, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York) is University Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, and director of the Institute for the Study of Child Development at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
