Mike Garland
Mike Garland (born May 31, 1954) is an American former head college basketball coach at Cleveland State University. Before being named head coach at Cleveland State he was an assistant at Michigan State under current head coach Tom Izzo Tom Izzo (, ); born January 30, 1955) is an American college basketball coach who has been the head coach at Michigan State University since 1995. Michigan State Spartans Men's Basketball
The Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Michigan State University. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. The Spartans have won two NCAA championships and 16 Big Ten Championships. Their home games are played at the Breslin Student Events Center ("Breslin Center") in East Lansing, Michigan. Tom Izzo has been the head coach since 1995. Their two National Championships came in the 1979 NCAA tournament and the 2000 NCAA tournament. The 1979 National Championship Game was the most watched college basketball game in history, with 35.11 million television viewers. 2005–06 Cleveland State Vikings Men's Basketball Team
The 2005–06 Cleveland State Vikings men's basketball team represents Cleveland State University in the 2005–06 college basketball season. The team was led by third-year head coach Mike Garland. In 2004–05, the Vikings finished 9–17 (6–10 in the Horizon League). Cleveland State played for the first time since late in the 1990–91 season in Woodling Gym, which served as the home of Viking men's basketball from the 1972–73 season until the Wolstein Center opened prior to the 1991–92 season. The win against Rochester College raised CSU's all-time record in the building to 123–21. It was the 75th season of Cleveland State basketball.
