Mike Edwards (pole Vaulter)
Michael Edwards (born 19 October 1968 in Farnham, Surrey) is a retired England, English pole vaulter. He was affiliated with the Belgrave Harriers in London. He finished seventh at the 1987 European Junior Championships, fifth at the Athletics at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, 1994 Commonwealth Games and sixth at the 1998 IAAF World Cup. He also competed at the 1990 European Championships in Athletics - Men's Pole Vault, 1990 European Championships, the 1991 World Championships in Athletics - Men's pole vault, 1991 World Championships, the Athletics at the 1992 Summer Olympics - Men's pole vault, 1992 Olympic Games and the 1993 World Championships in Athletics - Men's pole vault, 1993 World Championships without reaching the final. His personal best jump was 5.52 metres, achieved in May 1993 in Abilene, TX, Abilene. References

Farnham
Farnham ( /ˈfɑːnəm/) is a market town and civil parish in Surrey, England, around southwest of London. It is in the Borough of Waverley, close to the county border with Hampshire. The town is on the north branch of the River Wey, a tributary of the Thames, and is at the western end of the North Downs. The civil parish, which includes the villages of Badshot Lea, Hale and Wrecclesham, covers and had a population of 39,488 in 2011. Among the prehistoric artefacts from the area is a woolly mammoth tusk, excavated in Badshot Lea at the start of the 21st century.
