Mike Carnegie
Mike Carnegie (born March 4, 1984 in London, Ontario) is a former professional lacrosse defender. He wore #16 for the Calgary Roughnecks and San Diego Seals in the National Lacrosse League. He won the Champion's Cup with the Roughnecks in 2009 and the Mann Cup in 2008 and 2009 with Brampton Excelsiors. In 2011, he won the gold medal at 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship playing for Team Canada. In 2011, Carnegie was named one of Calgary's "Top 40 Under 40" by ''Avenue Magazine''. He donates half of his NLL salary to charity, especially to assist the people of Burma, and is Christian. His wife Hailey is also actively involved in his charitable work. His younger brother Scott Carnegie is also a lacrosse player. Canada National Indoor Lacrosse Team
The Canada national indoor lacrosse team represents Canada in international tournaments of indoor lacrosse. It is the best national box lacrosse team in the world, having won all five World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, starting with the 2003 ILF World Indoor Lacrosse Championship held in Canada. Team Canada has never lost a game in the tournament. Their biggest rivals are the Iroquois Nationals, who have finished in second place in all four tournaments. Western Ontario Mustangs
The Western Mustangs are the athletic teams that represent Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. The school's athletic program supports 46 varsity teams. Their mascot is a Mustang named J.W. and the school colours are purple and white. The university's varsity teams compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference and the national U Sports organization. Western University offers 21 varsity sports for men and 19 for women which compete in the OUA conference. Scott Carnegie
Scott Carnegie (born December 17, 1985 in London, Ontario) is a former professional lacrosse defenceman. He wore #22 for the Calgary Roughnecks and #27 for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League. He is currently the Head of Player Development for the Mammoth. His brother Mike Carnegie is also a former lacrosse player. They played together for the Roughnecks from 2008 to 2017. Carnegie joined the Roughnecks as a free agent in 2008. He missed the entire 2014 NLL season due to an Achilles injury during training camp. In the 2018 NLL season, he joined the Colorado Mammoth. He has won the NLL Championship twice: 2009 with Calgary and 2022 with Colorado. 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship
The 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship was the third World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, an international box lacrosse tournament organized by the Federation of International Lacrosse every four years. It took place between 21 and 28 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic at the 4,900 seat Eden Arena, an Olympic-sized rink. The Canadian team was the defending champion and for the third time defeated the Iroquois Nationals in the finals, 13–6. The United States defeated the host Czech Republic 16–7 in the bronze medal game. Pool play Eight participating teams were placed in two pools.
