Mike Allen (Alberta Politician)
__NOTOC__ Michael Trent Allen (born March 4, 1962) is a Canadian politician who is a former elected member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo. He is a former municipal and provincial politician, business owner and jazz musician. Political career In 2007, Allen was elected to council for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Allen finished one full three-year term as councillor and resigned during his second term to run in the 2012 Alberta general election as a Progressive Conservative candidate. He defeated incumbent Wildrose MLA Guy Boutilier. Beginning in 2012, Allen served as a member of the Standing Committees for Private Bills, Resource Stewardship and Public Accounts. Grande Prairie is a city in northwest Alberta, Canada within the southern portion of an area known as Peace River Country. The United Conservative Party of Alberta (UCP) is a conservative political party in the province of Alberta, Canada. It was established in July 2017 as a merger between the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta and the Wildrose Party. When established, the UCP immediately formed the Official Opposition in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The UCP won a majority mandate in the 2019 Alberta general election to form the government of Alberta. Air medical services is a comprehensive term covering the use of air transportation, aeroplane or helicopter, to move patients to and from healthcare facilities and accident scenes. Personnel provide comprehensive prehospital and emergency and critical care to all types of patients during aeromedical evacuation or rescue operations aboard helicopter and propeller aircraft or jet aircraft. The use of air transport to provide medical evacuation on the battlefield dates to World War I, but its role was expanded dramatically during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Edmonton City Centre Airport (ECCA), also called Blatchford Field as well as Edmonton Municipal Airport, was an airport within the city of Edmonton, in Alberta, Canada. It was bordered by Yellowhead Trail to the north, Kingsway to the south, 121 Street to the west, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and Jefferson armouries to the east. 2016 Fort McMurray Wildfire
On May 1, 2016, a wildfire began southwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. On May 3, it swept through the community, forcing the largest wildfire evacuation in Alberta's history, with upwards of 88,000 people forced from their homes. Firefighters were assisted by personnel from both the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as other Canadian provincial agencies, to fight the wildfire. Aid for evacuees was provided by various governments and via donations through the Canadian Red Cross and other local and national charitable organizations. Sweeping through Fort McMurray, the wildfire destroyed approximately 2,400 homes and buildings. Keith Donald Charles Scott (born c. 1966) is a Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the mayor of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and as an MLA and Cabinet minister for the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta. He currently works for the Métis Nation of Alberta as an executive director. Ric McIver
Richard William McIver (born August 28, 1958) is a Canadian politician who has represented Calgary-Hays in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta since 2012. A member of the United Conservative Party (UCP), McIver is the current minister of municipal affairs. He entered politics in 2001 when he was elected to the Calgary City Council, serving until 2010. Lac La Biche ( ) is a hamlet in Lac La Biche County within northeast Alberta, Canada. It is located approximately northeast of the provincial capital of Edmonton. Melissa Blake
Melissa Blake is the former mayor of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, which includes Fort McMurray. Blake was elected as a municipal councillor in 1998 and re-elected to council in 2001.
