Mikayla Morrison
Mikayla Morrison (born 1 March 2002) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Morrison was drafted by Fremantle with their second selection, and 30th overall in the 2020 AFL Women's draft. As a junior she represented WA at the National Under 18s Championships in 2019, and was selected to be in the AFL Women's National Academy. After not playing a game in her first season, she made her debut in the 4th round of 2022 AFL Women's season 6. WAFL Women's
WAFL Women's (WAFLW) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The WAFLW is the premier women's football competition in Western Australia, and from 2023 is contested by eight teams owned and operated by clubs in the men's West Australian Football League (WAFL). The league was established in 2018 by the West Australian Football Commission and West Australian Women's Football League, the latter having been the governing body and league for women's football in the state from 1987 to 2018, and has been run by the WAFC after the WAWFL was dissolved in 2021. 2020 AFL Women's Draft
The 2020 AFL Women's draft consists of the various periods when the 14 clubs in the AFL Women's competition can recruit players prior to the competition's 2021 season. Whitten Oval (also known as Victoria University Whitten Oval under a naming rights agreement) is a stadium in the inner-western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in Barkly Street, West Footscray. It is the training and administrative headquarters of the Western Bulldogs (formerly the Footscray Football Club), which competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). In the sport of Australian rules football, each of the eighteen players in a team is assigned to a particular named position on the field of play. These positions describe both the player's main role and by implication their location on the ground. Fremantle Oval
Fremantle Oval, also known by naming rights sponsorship as Fremantle Community Bank Oval, is a stadium in the centre of Fremantle, Western Australia, located on Parry Street. It currently has a capacity of 17,500 with terracing and a members area holding 750, though capacity was capped at 10,000 for Fremantle AFLW games. Fremantle Oval was originally used for cricket, but in 1895 hosted its first game of Australian rules football and Australian Football quickly became the main attraction leading to the development of the ground.
