Mikaele Tufele II (died 30 November 1933) was a king of Uvea, ruling from 1928 until 1931, and again for a brief time in 1933. He was preceded by Tomasi Kulimoetoke I, and succeeded by Sosefo Mautāmakia I. In May 1933 he was re-elected as king following the French colonial administrations overthrow of Petelo Kahofuna Petelo Kahofuna was a king of Uvea, ruling briefly in 1933. Sosefo Mautāmakia I, nicknamed Tokila, was a king of Uvea, ruling from 1906 until 1910 and again from 1931 until 1933. He was preceded the first time by Lusiano Aisake, and succeeded by Soane-Patita Lavuia; the second time he succeeded Mikaele Tufele II, and was followed by Petelo Kahofuna Petelo Kahofuna was a king of Uvea, ruling briefly in 1933. Petelo Kahofuna
Petelo Kahofuna was a king of Uvea, ruling briefly in 1933. He was preceded by Sosefo Mautāmakia I, and succeeded by Mikaele Tufele II. Following the death of Sosefo Mautāmakia I he was elected king on March 13 1933. However, the French colonial administration refused to recognise his election. On 23 May a French warship arrived carrying the remains of Sosefo, as well as Mukoi, one of Sosefo's ministers. Kahofuna was informed that he was dismissed as king. Leone Mulikiha'amea Matekitoga or Manikitoga was a king of Uvea, ruling from 16 March 1941 until 16 March 1947. He was preceded by Mikaele Tufele II, and succeeded by Pelenato Fuluhea. He was king during the Second World War and the occupation of Uvea by American troops (1942-1944), a period of strong economic, social and political transformations for Wallis and Futuna. He was chosen by the royal families after 8 years without a sovereign.
