Tyresö FF (men)
Tyresö FF is a Swedish men's association football team in Tyresö, a municipality in Stockholm County. They are associated with the Tyresö FF women's team, which plays in the top tier of the Damallsvenskan. The men's team currently play in the Swedish Division 3. Background Tyresö Fotbollsförening was founded in 1971. Since their foundation Tyresö FF men's team has participated mainly in the middle divisions of the Swedish football league system, their high points being second tier football in 1985 in Division 2 Norra and in 1990 in Division 1 Norra. On each occasion their stay in the second tier was short-lived and they were relegated at the end of the season. The club currently plays in Division 3 Östra Svealand which is the fifth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Tyresövallen in Tyresö. DjurgĂ„rdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as DjurgĂ„rdens IF, DjurgĂ„rden Fotboll (official name), DjurgĂ„rden (), and (especially locally) DjurgĂ„r'n (), Dif or DIF – is the men's association football department of its parent association DjurgĂ„rdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of DjurgĂ„rden, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm. Competing in the highest Swedish tier, Allsvenskan, the club has won the league twelve times and the cup five times. The league titles have mainly been won during three separate eras. The first period was the 1910s, when they won four league titles. The second era occurred in the 1950s and 60s, when DjurgĂ„rden also won the league four times. The most recent era was the first half of the 00s when they won both the league and the cup three times. Tyresö Fotbollsförening is a Swedish football club in Tyresö, a municipality in Stockholm County. The club was founded in 1971 and is primarily known for its main women's team, which competed in the top-tier league Damallsvenskan in the 2010–2014, 1993–1996 and 1999 seasons, winning the Swedish Championship in 2012. Notable players that have played for the team include the most capped footballer of all time Kristine Lilly, joint FIFA Female Player of the Century Michelle Akers and six time FIFA World Player of the Year Marta. Tyresö FF are affiliated to the Stockholms Fotbollförbund. In 2011 and 2012, they finished runners-up in the Swedish Cup. In the 2012 season, Tyresö won Damallsvenskan title for the first time.
