Mikabomb
Mika Bomb (sometimes spelled Mikabomb) is a London-based, Japanese pop punk band. History Lead singer Mika Handa arrived in London in 1998, with the goal of playing in a punk band. Recruitment for the band began with the arrival in London of the guitarist Agi (Chinese: 龙宽 Long Kuan), who later gained broad fame in the electronic duo 龙宽九段 Longkuan Jiuduan. Another Mika (Mika Kanayama) on bass introduced an element of musicality to the bass department while a North London boy, Ergi, provided the drums. Mika has a husband and a daughter, and Ergi has a wife and two daughters. In 2000, they signed with the Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal. Mika Bomb performed in the West Country plugging their singles "Super Sexy Razor Happy Girls" and "Heart Attack". Damaged Goods is a British independent record label. History Damaged Goods records formed in 1988 from a living room in east London. The first release was a re-issue of the 1977 single by Slaughter and the Dogs, "Where Have All the Bootboys Gone?". Following positive reviews in the UK music press it was followed by a reissue of the same band's debut album ''Do It Dog Style''. Releases by Adam and the Ants, The Killjoys, Pork Dukes, and Snivelling Shits followed. Damaged Goods was originally intended to be a punk re-issue label but by 1990 was releasing contemporary bands, including a single by The Sect, and an EP by Manic Street Preachers. In early 1991, they released their first single by Billy Childish (with Thee Headcoats), followed by many more, including the debut Thee Headcoatees single. Distortion
In signal processing, distortion is the alteration of the original shape (or other characteristic) of a signal. Rosita was an English band formed by Marie Du Santiago and Emmy-Kate Montrose, formerly one-half of the band Kenickie, in the immediate aftermath of Kenickie's split in October 1998. Ten Benson are a Rock (music), rock band from London, United Kingdom formed in 1997. Their early releases saw them described as "psychedelic hillbillies",Strong, Martin C.: "The Great Alternative & Indie Discography", 1999, Canongate, but they later moved on to a (cod-)heavy metal music, heavy metal sound. The D4
The D4 was a rock band from Auckland, New Zealand. Their music was released by Hollywood Records in the U.S., Flying Nun Records in New Zealand and by Infectious Records in the UK. The group was assembled by vocalist/ guitarists Dion Palmer and Jimmy Christmas, who put together a collection of songs and built a four-piece combo, featuring founding members English Jake and Rich Mixture, during late 1998 and started playing at the Frisbee Leisure Lounge parties along Symonds Street, followed shortly thereafter by inner city pub gigs. The Datsuns
The Datsuns are a hard rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand, formed in 1998. Founding mainstays are Rudolf "Dolf" de Borst on vocals and bass guitar, and Christian Livingstone and Phil Somervell, both on guitar.
