Mika Reyes
Mika Aereen Marcaliñas Reyes (born June 21, 1994) is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a Middle Hitter/Blocker and is currently playing in the PVL Premier Volleyball League in the Philippines. Early life Reyes grew up in Pulilan, Bulacan with her parents and four other siblings. Her family owns a resort named after their hometown. She finished her high school studies at St. Scholastica's College, Manila. She then got recruited and enrolled to De La Salle University. She took up AB Psychology and graduated on June 18, 2016. Career Reyes was named Best Attacker at the 2013 PVF Intercollegiate Volleyball Championship and Most Valuable Player in the 2015 edition. Reyes won the 2014 Philippine National Games Best Blocker award, and was the 1st Best Middle Blocker in its 2015 edition. She was part of the DLSU Lady Spikers champion teams of UAAP Season 74, Season 75, and Season 78. Pulilan, Bulacan
Pulilan, officially the Municipality of Pulilan ( tgl, Bayan ng Pulilan), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 108,836 people. The town is famous for its Carabao Festival where carabaos are paraded and kneel as they pass through San Isidro Labrador Parish Church, in honor to the town's patron saint, San Isidro Labrador. DLSU Lady Spikers
The De La Salle University Lady Spikers is the official women's volleyball team of De La Salle University. History The Lady Spikers were the first NCAA women's champions in volleyball when the tournament was introduced in NCAA Season 51 (1975–76). The first UAAP title of the team came in Season 62 (2000). They then won the UAAP title in 2004, 2005, 2006 (as 3-peat champions), 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 (as 3-peat champions), and 2016, 2017, 2018 (as 3-peat champions). They have won a total of eleven (11) titles. The Lady Spikers hold the distinction of having appeared in the Finals for ten consecutive times from UAAP Seasons 71 to 80 (2009–2018) which is the longest streak in the Final Four era of the UAAP. UAAP Season 74 Volleyball Tournaments
The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 74 volleyball tournaments opened November 26, 2011. Tournaments are hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. Usually held in the first semester, the UAAP Board decided to move the juniors' division tournaments on the second semester of the school year. In boys' tournament, the NU Bullpups and UST Tiger Cubs, which are tied at second place, played for the #2 seed with the latter winning the playoff. UE Junior Spikers successfully defended their title after beating UST in the finals. UE was awarded their tenth and eighth consecutive UAAP boys' volleyball championship. 2022 PVL Invitational Conference
The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference was the twelfth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''39th conference of the former Shakey's V-League conference results, Shakey's V-League'') and its third conference as a professional league. The tournament began on July 9, 2022. Originally slated for the July 2, the tournament was pushed back due to the requests of the club teams. This is the first (''second for the former Shakey's V-League conference results, SVL'') conference of the league to commence an invitational conference. A total of eight teams will compete in this event, including one international team — KingWhale Taipei from Taiwan. The BaliPure Purest Water Defenders and F2 Logistics begged off from joining the conference. The 2018 Chooks-to-Go PSL Invitational Cup was the third conference and second indoor volleyball tournament of the Philippine Super Liga's sixth season. The tournament commenced on June 23, 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. As with the 2017 Invitational, the tournament used an all-to-play format to give playing time for every player in each team. The 2018 Chooks-To-Go PSL Grand Prix Conference was the first conference and first indoor tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's sixth season. The games commenced February 17, 2018 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig and the formal opening ceremony was held on February 24, 2018 at the Santa Rosa Multipurpose Complex in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The tournament was moved from October to February in order to align with the new competition calendar approved by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). 2017 PSL All-Filipino Conference
The 2017 Rebisco PSL All-Filipino Conference was the third conference and second indoor tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fifth season. The games began on June 6, 2017 with the formal opening ceremonies taking place on June 10, 2017 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan. The tournament adopted a new format. Those on the same group will figure in a single round robin. The top two teams in Pool A and Pool B shall comprise Pool C while the bottom two teams in Pools A and B comprising Pool D.
