Mika Raatikainen
Mika Pekka Raatikainen (born 7 November 1961) is a Finnish politician, policeman and a member of Finnish Parliament, representing the Finns Party. Raatikainen was born in Helsinki. He was first elected as a substitute member to the parliament in 2011 Finnish parliamentary election, 2011, and became member of parliament on 4 July 2014, when Jussi Halla-aho left to the European Parliament. In the 2015 Finnish parliamentary election, 2015 parliamentary election, Raatikainen got 3,370 votes and got elected. Raatikainen was not re-elected in the 2019 Finnish parliamentary election, 2019 parliamentary election, but again took the seat of Halla-aho as a substitute in April 2019, due to Halla-aho's ongoing term in the European Parliament. Before a career in the politics, Raatikainen had a long career in the Helsinki Police Department, in which he started working in 1983. He has a Lebanese wife, who he first met in Italy in 2006. Finnish Parliament
The Parliament of Finland ( ; ) is the unicameral and supreme legislature of Finland, founded on 9 May 1906. 2019 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 14 April 2019. For the first time, no party received more than 20% of the vote. The Centre Party, which had been the largest party following the 2015 elections, dropped to fourth place, losing 18 seats and recording its lowest vote share since 1917. The Social Democratic Party saw the biggest gains, winning six more seats and narrowly becoming the largest party for the first time since 1999. The Green League and the Left Alliance also gained five and four seats respectively. 2011 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 17 April 2011 after the termination of the previous parliamentary term. Advance voting, which included voting by Finnish expatriates, was held between 6 and 12 April with a turnout of 31.2%. The importance of the election was magnified due to Finland's capacity to influence the European Union's decision in regard to affecting a bailout for Portugal via the European Financial Stability Facility, as part of financial support systems for debt-laden European countries, and the fall of the Portuguese government.
