Mighty Sounds
Mighty Sounds is a ska and punk rock festival in the Czech Republic. The festival first took place in 2005, in the village of Olší near Opařany, remaining at that location for its first five years, before moving to a disused airport in Tábor in 2010. In 2007 the festival attracted around 10,000 people, and in 2010 its attendance exceeded 12,000 people, making it one of the biggest festivals of its kind in Europe. Festival The festival is held over three days. Originally the festival featured one large stage and a second smaller one, plus a theatre tent. Another smaller tent known as the "Sado maso stage" featured techno and drum'n'bass DJs. After heavy rain in 2009 festival site and a nearby campsite for visitors was damaged by mud, and the owner of the site did not renew the contract for next event. Tábor (; german: Tabor) is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 33,000 inhabitants. The town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation. Demented Are Go
Demented Are Go (DAG aka Demented Are Go!) are a Welsh psychobilly band that was formed around 1982 in Cardiff, Wales. They were one of the earliest in the initial wave of bands to mix punk rock with rockabilly, and as a result, are considered to be highly influential to the psychobilly scene. The band often claims their name originated from the phrase "Demon teds are go!" as an adaptation of the phrase "Thunderbirds are go!" from the '' Thunderbirds'' TV series. Psychobilly is often associated with horror. Career Formation Demented Are Go formed in Penarth, South Wales, near Cardiff. The Mad Caddies (or the Caddies) are a ska punk band from Solvang, California, United States. The band formed in 1995 and has released seven full-length albums, one live album, and two EPs. To date, Mad Caddies have sold over 500,000 albums worldwide. Obrint Pas
Obrint Pas (, "Breaking Through") was a Spanish band from Valencia, Valencian Community. Their music is a mixture of rock, ska and reggae with dolçaina rhythms, a traditional Valencian instrument, often with social and political lyrics promoting Catalan nationalism. The Real McKenzies
The Real McKenzies is a Canadian Celtic punk band founded in 1992 and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are one of the founders of the Celtic punk movement, albeit 10 years after The Pogues. In addition to writing and performing original music, Real McKenzies perform traditional Scottish songs, giving them a new punk-influenced sound. Karamelo Santo is a Latin rock band from Mendoza, Argentina. Formed in 1992 for Goy Karamelo, they released their first album, ''La Kulebra'' (The snake) in 1995. The Slackers
The Slackers are an American ska band, formed in Manhattan, New York in 1991. The band's sound is a mix of ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub, soul, garage rock, and jazz. The Slackers' notability is credited to their prolific career, tours of North America, Europe, and elsewhere, and signing to notable punk label Hellcat Records.
