''Power Rangers'' is a series of various comic books spun off from the ''Power Rangers'' television show. Each series was published by a different comic book publisher. Publication history Hamilton Comics (1994–1995) Hamilton Comics published two ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers'' series, totaling ten issues altogether. A three issue ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Saga'' mini-series recapped stories from the TV series. Originally planned as six issues, it was abbreviated when the license moved to Marvel Comics. Steve Orlando is an American comic book writer, known for his work for DC Comics writing characters such as Batman, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman, and two series starring Midnighter, which were nominated for a GLAAD Media Award. Thuy Trang (December 14, 1973 – September 3, 2001) was a Vietnamese American actress. She was known for her role as Trini Kwan, the second Yellow Ranger on the original cast of the television series ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers''. The first, Audri Duboise, filmed the pilot but was let go before the series premiered officially. Trang's father was a South Vietnamese army officer who fled the country in 1975 after the fall of Saigon, leaving his family behind. Trini Kwan is a fictional character from the ''Power Rangers'' franchise, first appearing in the original series as the Yellow Ranger. She was portrayed by Vietnamese-American actress Thuy Trang.
