Migalovo (air Base)
Migalovo (also given as Tver Migalovo, Kalinin) is an air base in Tver Oblast, Russia located 10 km west of Tver. It is a large military airlift base. It currently houses all of Russia's remaining Antonov An-22 fleet. It is an Ilyushin Il-76 base, with some Antonov An-12 aircraft stored. The base is home to the 2nd Central Scientific Research Institute and the 8th Military Transport Aviation Regiment which is part of the 12th Mginska Krasnoznamennaya Military Transport Aircraft Division. Tver ( rus, Тверь, p=tvʲerʲ) is a city and the administrative centre of Tver Oblast, Russia. It is northwest of Moscow. The 12th Mginskaya Red Banner Military Transport Aviation Division (''12-я Мгинская Краснознаменная военно-транспортная авиационная дивизия'') is a formation of the 61st Air Army of the Supreme Command of the Air Forces of the Russian Federation. The division was formed on 5 May 1943 as the 12th Air Division Long Range at Monino, equipped with Li-2 aircraft. On 1 August 1943 it was subordinate of the 7th Aviation Corps Long Range. Kubinka (air Base)
Kubinka (russian: link=no, Кубинка) is an air base in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located northwest of Kubinka. In close proximity to Moscow, the Kubinka facility showcases the best of the Russian Air Force to the general public. The 82nd aviation detachment (separate) arrived at the base in 1935, joined in 1938 by the 11th and 24th Aviation Regiments. Personnel of these units field-tested the advanced Yak-1 and Lavochkin-Gorbunov-Gudkov LaGG-3, LaGG-3 fighters and defended Moscow during the Second World War. After the war, the base became home to the 324th Svirskaya Fighter Aviation Division from November 1945.
