Michael Mifsud
Michael Mifsud (born 17 April 1981) is a Maltese professional association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for Maltese Premier League side Mosta F.C., Mosta. He scored 42 goals in 143 games for the Malta national football team, Malta national team between 2000 and 2020, and also captain (association football), captained the side. Joseph Mifsud
Joseph Mifsud (born 1960) is a Maltese academic. In 2016, he became involved with George Papadopoulos, an advisor to the Donald Trump presidential campaign, and was later accused of being a link between that campaign and Russia. In 2018, he was described as missing, and an Italian court listed his location as "residence unknown". According to media reports, he was in Rome as of April 2019. Education Mifsud holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Malta (1982) and a master's degree in education from the University of Padua (1989). Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza (born 20 November 1981 in Msida, Malta) is a professional footballer who plays for Msida Saint-Joseph as a striker. Playing career Mifsud Triganza began his career with Floriana and was promoted to the first team during the 2000–01 season. He made two appearances early in the season, but did achieve a 50% strike rate, after scoring a goal in a 1–1 draw against Naxxar Lions. Josef Mifsud (born 7 September 1984 in Sliema, Malta) is a former professional footballer and an accredited physical education teacher. As a footballer, he played as a defender. Playing career Sliema Wanderers Mifsud began his career as a product of the Sliema Wanderers youth team, but following some impressive displays, he got his chance to play for the first team by making his debut during the 2001–02 season, he made two appearances during the season, but failed to score, as Sliema Wanderers finished 3rd in the Maltese Premier League. Immanuel Mifsud
Immanuel Mifsud (born September 12, 1967) is a writer of poetry and prose, born in Paola, Malta. He was for a time involved in research theatre. He has written six collections of short stories, six poetry collections, and also children stories. In 2011, he became the first Maltese writer to win the European Union Prize for Literature. In 2014, he was appointed Member of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Malta. Mifsud became the first Maltese writer to be hosted at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., where on February 16, 2017, he gave a reading and was interviewed during a special event. In the same year he was commissioned to write a poem for Commonwealth Day; Mifsud read "The Book" during Commonwealth Day Celebration at Westminster Abbey on March 13. Carmelo "Carm" Mifsud Bonnici (born 17 February 1960) is a Maltese politician who has served in a number of Ministerial posts in the Government of Malta. Background, education and family Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, the son of former President Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, was born in Floriana on 17 February 1960. He was educated at St. Aloysius' College, Birkirkara, then at De La Salle College in Cospicua. Bonnici is a distant relative of former Labour Prime Minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici. Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, (born 8 November 1932) is a Maltese politician and was the fifth president of Malta from 1994 to 1999. Early life, education, and family Ugo Mifsud Bonnici was born in Cospicua as the son of Professor Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, and his wife, Maria (née Ross). He was educated at the Lyceum and the Royal University of Malta. He graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in 1952 and as a Doctor of Laws in 1955. Paula Mifsud Bonnici is a Maltese lawyer and politician, member of the Parliament of Malta between 2013 and 2017 for Nationalist Party representing the District 1. Steve Mifsud (born 25 August 1972 in Australia) is a Maltese Australian professional snooker player. Career He was a winner of the IBSF World Amateur Championship in Cairo, Egypt in 2002, beating Tim English 11–6 in the final which enabled him to get on the main tour for the 2003–04 season, although he later dropped off. He was runner-up to Mark Allen in the same event two years later. He got back onto the main tour for the 2007–08 season by finishing top of the Australian rankings. Again he dropped off immediately, winning just one match in the six knockout tournaments. Steve was Neil Robertson's partner in the 2011 World Cup where he helped Australia reach the quarter-finals. Giuseppe Mifsud Bonnici (17 July 1930 – 21 February 2019) was a Maltese judge and philosopher, Chief Justice of Malta between 1990 and 1995. Ludovik Mifsud Tommasi
Ludovik Mifsud Tommasi (1796-1879), also known as Ludovico Mifsud Tommasi, was a Maltese priest and educator, and also author of short poems and short prayers. He was from Cospicua, in southeastern Malta. One of the major works of Mifsud Tommasi, ''L-Inni Imkaddsa'' (''The Holy Hymns''), a bilingual Latin-Maltese book, shows that his work focused on traditional aspects with the story concentrated with religious scenes. The book includes four of the five hymns of Thomas Aquinas. Other important works are ''Stabat Mater Dolorosa''; ''Christe Sanctorum decus Angelorum''; and ''Magnae Deus Potentiae''. Mifsud Tommasi was a proponent of using the Latin alphabet instead of the Arabic script for Maltese.
