Midwest Hockey League
The Midwest Hockey League (MWHL) was a short-lived proposed low level minor pro hockey league that was scheduled to begin play in the 2009–2010 season. The league administrative office was located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. League history On August 10, 2009, the MWHL announced a merger with the All American Hockey League, absorbing the MWHL's Madison Ice Muskies as well as key MWHL personnel. Hartmeyer Ice Arena
Hartmeyer Ice Arena is a 3,500 seat multi-purpose arena in Madison, Wisconsin. It has ice surfaces for hockey, figure skating, and open skating, but can also have the ice removed for other events, such as indoor football. The building was constructed to play host to the Wisconsin Badgers men's ice hockey team, but only served that purpose for four years before the team moved to the Dane County Coliseum, now known as the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the campus of the Alliant Energy Center. The arena is sometimes called "The Hart." Wisconsin Badgers' hockey The Hartmeyer Arena was constructed by Fenton Kelsey, Jr., a Madison business owner and avid hockey supporter. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, University of Wisconsin Athletics Director Ivy Williamson grew to enjoy watching youth hockey in Madison and began envisioning bringing the sport back to the varsity level at the university, which had not formally fielded a team since 1934.

Evansville IceMen
The Evansville IceMen were a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL in Evansville, Indiana. The franchise was originally a member of the United Hockey League before it merged into the Central Hockey League in 2010. The franchise has won four post-season championship titles in the UHL in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2005. The franchise played one season at Swonder Ice Arena before moving to the Ford Center beginning in the 2011–12 season. The IceMen were formerly known as the Muskegon Fury from 1992 to 2008, and Muskegon Lumberjacks from 2008 to 2010. The IceMen franchise replaced the original Evansville IceMen that were a part of the All American Hockey League before folding in 2010. The Detroit Dragons were a professional hockey team based in Fraser, Michigan. The team was part of the All American Hockey League and started their inaugural season in November 2008.
