''Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play'' is a video game compilation of Midway, Atari and Williams arcade game classics released in 2005 for the PlayStation Portable. ''Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play'' was re-released for the PlayStation Store on June 28, 2010 by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment due to Midway's bankruptcy, also meaning that Warner Bros. owns rights to most of the Midway, Atari and Williams arcade library after the purchase of some assets of Midway Games. The list contains a total of 21 games including 7 golden-age titles such as ''Defender, Joust, Marble Madness, Paperboy, Sinistar, Spy Hunter'' and ''Wizards of Wor''. ''Joust'' is an action game developed by Williams Electronics and released in arcades in 1982. While not the first two-player cooperative video game, ''Joust''s success and polished implementation popularized the concept. Player 1 rides an ostrich, player 2 a stork. Repeatedly pressing the ''flap'' button gains altitude, while a two-directional joystick controls direction. In a collision with enemy knights riding buzzards—or the other player—the higher rider dismounts the other. ''Xenophobe'' is a video game developed Bally Midway and released in arcades in 1987. Starbases, moons, ships, and space cities are infested with aliens, and the players have to kill the aliens before each is completely overrun. The screen is split into three horizontally-scrolling windows, one for each of up to three players, yet all players are in the same game world. Gameplay The goal of each level is to defeat all the aliens before time runs out. Some rooms routinely display the percentage of alien infection and time remaining until self-destruct when the level ends (but a nearby button can temporarily deactivate the count-down). Levels may contain more than one floor, and players use elevators (and sometimes holes in the floor) to move between floors to defeat all of the aliens. ''Wizard of Wor'' is an arcade game released in 1980 by Midway. Up to two players fight together in a series of monster-infested mazes, clearing each maze by shooting the creatures. The game was ported to the Atari 8-bit family, Commodore 64, Atari 2600, and Atari 5200 and renamed to ''The Incredible Wizard'' for the Bally Astrocade. The original cartridge came with a cash prize offer to the first person to complete the game. Gameplay The players' characters, called Worriors, must kill all the monsters by shooting them. It was later ported to systems such as NES, Amiga, Commodore 64, MSX, and Game Boy Color. In the game, the player assumes control of the main characters ''Bif'' or ''Jet'', guiding them through many winding rivers on an innertube. Gameplay The player competes in a river race against the computer or another player. ''Sinistar'' is a 1983 multidirectional shooter arcade game developed and manufactured by Williams Electronics. It was created by Sam Dicker, Jack Haeger, Noah Falstein, RJ Mical, Python Anghelo, and Richard Witt. Players control a spacecraft pilot who battles the eponymous Sinistar.
