The Midland Theatre is a 1,800-seat theatre that was built in 1928 in the Newark Downtown Historic District of Newark, Ohio, United States. Since 2000, it has been used as a performance venue for live music and other performing arts events. History After opening its doors on December 20, 1928, the Midland Theatre served the community of Newark, Ohio, for 50 years primarily as a movie theater, until it closed in 1978. Newark ( ) is a city serving as the county seat of Licking County, Ohio, United States, east of Columbus, at the junction of the forks of the Licking River. The Longaberger Company is an American manufacturer and distributor of handcrafted maple wood baskets and other home and lifestyle products. Dave Longaberger
Dave W. Longaberger (1934–1999) was an American businessman who founded the now-defunct Longaberger Company, which made handcrafted maple wood baskets and accessories and became notable in the Newark, Ohio area for the The_Longaberger_Company#History, "Big Basket Building" that became the company headquarters in 1997. Dave had two daughters, Tami Longaberger, who was CEO of the Longaberger Company, and Rachel Longaberger Stukey, President of the Longaberger Foundation. Longaberger grew up in a poor family of 14.
