Midland Empire Conference
The Midland Empire Conference (also called MEC) is a high school athletic conference whose members are located in northwest Missouri. The conference participates in the MSHSAA. The conference was created during a March 1962 meeting at Armstrong's Restaurant in Maryville, Missouri and took effect in the 1962-63 school year. Nodaway County, Missouri
Nodaway County is a county located in the northwest part of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 23,370. Its county seat is Maryville. The county was organized February 14, 1845 and is named for the Nodaway River. Platte County High School
Platte County High School, located in Platte City, Missouri, is the only high school in the Platte County R-3 School District. It serves students in Platte County. Campus The building itself has been expanded several times from its original configuration, with additional wings built over the years, including an auditorium and choir/band room. In the summer of 2005, a new middle school was built, and the district's original middle school, which was attached to the high school via a single narrow hallway, was incorporated into the high school. A new main entrance, library, and atrium were built in what was formerly an open courtyard between the high school and middle school.
