Middletown () is a hamlet in Powys, Wales near the border with England. It is situated on the A458 road, between the towns of Shrewsbury and Welshpool. Montgomeryshire ( cy, Sir Drefaldwyn) is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Created in 1542, it elects one Member of Parliament (MP), traditionally known as the knight of the shire, by the first-past-the-post system of election. The Montgomeryshire Senedd constituency was created with the same boundaries in 1999 (as an Assembly constituency). Edward Glyn Davies (born 16 February 1944) is a former Welsh Conservative politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Montgomeryshire from 2010 to 2019. Davies previously served as a Member of the Welsh Assembly (AM) for the Mid and West Wales region from 1999 to 2007. He is a former Chairman of the Development Board for Rural Wales and also served as a Member of the Welsh Development Agency and the Welsh Tourist Board. He was Chairman of Montgomeryshire District Council and twice served as the Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Secretary of State for Wales. Breidden Hill
Breidden Hill is an extinct volcanic hill in Powys, Wales, near the town of Welshpool. It is immediately surrounded by the villages of Trewern, Middletown, Criggion, Crew Green and Llandrinio. The peak of the hill reaches to . Footpaths which lead up to the summit provide excellent 360 degree views over Powys and over the border with England to the Shropshire Plain. Breidden Hill is one of five peaks with neighbouring Moel y Golfa, which is the highest at , which is a " Marilyn", with a prominence of . This is a list of rivers of Wales, organised geographically. It is taken anti-clockwise from the Dee Estuary to the M48 Bridge that separates the estuary of the River Wye from the River Severn. Tributaries are listed down the page in an upstream direction, starting with those closest to the sea. The main stem (or principal) river of a catchment is given, left-bank tributaries are indicated by (L), and right-bank tributaries by (R).
