Middle Rhine Cup
The Middle Rhine Cup (German: ''Mittelrheinpokal'') is a German football club Cup competition open to teams from the Lower Rhine region of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The competition is one of the 21 regional cup competitions of German football and acts as a qualifier to the following seasons' German Cup. The competition is sponsored by the Bitburger brewery and carries the official name ''Bitburger Mittelrheinpokal''. Bayer Leverkusen II
Bayer 04 Leverkusen II was the reserve team of German football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Until 2005, the team played as Bayer 04 Leverkusen Amateure. The team has qualified for the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, on eight occasions, but never advanced beyond the first round. Before being withdrawn from competition at the end of the 2013–14 season the team played in the tier four Regionalliga West. History Bayer 04 Leverkusen Amateure first entered the highest football league in the Middle Rhine region, the Verbandsliga Mittelrhein, in 1978 and won the league in its fourth season there, in 1981. The team spent the next seventeen seasons in the tier-three Oberliga Nordrhein, gradually improving its results. The Deutscher Sportclub für Fußballstatistiken e.V., (English: ''German sports club for football statistics'') short DSFS is an association dedicated to collecting and publishing German football statistics, similar to the RSSSF, and is a member of the German Olympic Society. The club used to be best known for its annual publication, the ''Deutscher Fussball-Almanach'', a yearbook on German football. Unlike other yearbooks, it does not so much focus on professional football, but rather covers the higher amateur leagues. History The DSFS was formed on 1 July 1971 but was only registered in 1979. It was formed by six football enthusiasts after Helmut Druwen posted an add in the ''kicker'' sport magazine looking for people interested in football statistics. FC Wegberg-Beeck is a German association football club from the town of Wegberg, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club's greatest success has been promotion to the tier four Regionalliga West three times since 2015. The club has also taken part in the first round of the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, on one occasion, courtesy to a Middle Rhine Cup win. History The club was formed as Sportvereins 1920 Beeck in February 1920, became SC Beeck after the Second World War and adopted its current name in July 1996. SC Beeck began its rise from local amateur level in 1993 when it won promotion to the Landesliga Mittelrhein followed by promotion to the Verbandsliga Mittelrhein the year after. FC Hennef 05
The FC Hennef 05 is a German association football club from the town of Hennef, North Rhine-Westphalia. Apart from football the club also offers handball as a second sport. The club's greatest success has been to earn promotion to the tier four Regionalliga West in 2014 but they were relegated after just one season. History FC Hennef 05 was formed in 2005 in a merger of two local clubs, TuRa Hennef and FC Geistingen, two local amateur clubs of which TuRa had been the more successful. The new club took up TuRa's place in the Landesliga Mittelrhein 1 from 2005, a tier six league while Geistingen, playing in the same league that season and relegated gave its place to the new club's reserve team. SC Fortuna Köln is a German association football club based in the city of Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. History The club was formed as on 21 February 1948 through the merger of three local sides: Victoria Köln 1911 (one of two clubs to bear the name), Bayenthaler SV 1920, and Sparkassen-Verein Köln 1927. Of these clubs, Victoria had the best results, winning its way to the first division of the Gauliga Köln-Aachen in 1941 and capturing the division title there the following season. Bonner SC
Bonner SC is a German association football club based in Bonn. The club was formed in 1965 through the merger of ''Bonner FV'' and ''Tura Bonn''. Its former women's football department won the German national championship in 1975. History ''Bonner FV'' was founded in 1901 and was known early on as the "Club of Academics" because many of its leaders and members were teachers and professors. Regionalliga West
The Regionalliga West is a German semi-professional football division administered by the Western German Football Association based in Duisburg. It is one of the five German regional football associations. Being the single flight of the Western German state association, the Regionalliga is currently a level 4 division of the German football league system. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga Südwest.
