Mid Rivers Mall
Mid Rivers Mall (formerly Westfield Shoppingtown Mid Rivers) is a shopping center in St. Peters, Missouri, just off Interstate 70. The mall opened in 1987 and has since grown to be St. Charles County's largest shopping center. Mid Rivers Mall includes over 140 shops. The anchor stores are Macy's, Dillard's, H&M, JCPenney, Marcus Theatres, Vintage Stock, and Dick's Sporting Goods. There is one vacant anchor store that was once Sears. The mall is owned by CBL Properties, which acquired the property in 2007 from the Westfield Group. History Famous-Barr opened their store in 1981 on the site of the future Mid Rivers Mall. May Centers
CenterMark, formerly known as May Centers, was a mall development company owned by a consortium of Westfield Holdings Ltd., General Growth Properties, and Whitehall Street Real Estate L.P. III. And it was formerly owned by The May Department Stores Company until 1992, and Prudential Insurance until 1993. Megaplex
A multiplex is a movie theater complex with multiple screens within a single complex. They are usually housed in a specially designed building. Sometimes, an existing venue undergoes a renovation where the existing auditoriums are split into smaller ones, or more auditoriums are added in an extension or expansion of the building. The largest of these complexes can sit thousands of people and are sometimes referred to as a megaplex. Max & Erma's is an American casual dining restaurant chain based in Columbus, Ohio. As of April 2024, the company operates 7 locations in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1972 by Todd Barnum and Barry Zacks. The two businessmen purchased a local tavern in Columbus's German Village which had been operated by Max and Erma Visocnik since 1958. The May Department Stores Company
The May Department Stores Company was an American department store holding company, formerly headquartered in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It was founded in Leadville, Colorado, by David May in 1877, moving to St. Louis in 1905. After many changes in the retail industry, the company merged with Federated Department Stores (now Macy's, Inc.) in 2005. This company was only a holding company that bought, sold, and merged regional department stores, such as Foley's and L.S. Ayres. During most of its history, the operations of the various divisions were kept separate and had their own buyers and credit cards. The latter were not accepted at other May-owned stores.
