Mid-Cities League
The Mid-Cities is a suburban region filling the 30-mile (48 km) span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Bedford, Colleyville, Coppell, Euless, Flower Mound, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Irving, Keller, Lewisville, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Southlake, and Watauga. Cities The list features cities that are considered part of the Mid-Cities. Most of these communities are predominantly in Tarrant County, with minor exceptions lying in Dallas and Denton counties. Suburban
A suburb (more broadly suburban area) is an area within a metropolitan area, which may include commercial and mixed-use, that is primarily a residential area. A suburb can exist either as part of a larger city/urban area or as a separate political entity. The name describes an area which is not as densely populated as an inner city, yet more densely populated than a rural area in the countryside. North Richland Hills, commonly known as NRH, is a city inside Tarrant County, Texas, United States, and a mid-to-high end suburb of Fort Worth. The population was 69,917 at the 2020 census, making it the third largest city in Tarrant County. Interstate 20 (I‑20) is a major east–west Interstate Highway in the Southern United States. I-20 runs beginning at an interchange with I-10 in Scroggins Draw, Texas, and ending at an interchange with I-95 in Florence, South Carolina. Between Texas and South Carolina, I-20 runs through northern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Arlington Municipal Airport is five miles south of Arlington, in Tarrant County, Texas. The airport is at the intersection of Interstate 20 and South Collins Road; it is a reliever airport for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field. Several companies operate aircraft services on the airport property, including the Bell Helicopter division of Textron. Pantego, Texas
Pantego is a town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. Its population was 2,394 at the 2010 census. It is entirely surrounded by the cities of Arlington and Dalworthington Gardens. It is in the middle of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, a metropolitan area spanning several counties. History The earliest Europeans in the area are thought to be the members of the De Soto expedition under Luis de Moscoso, in 1542. Dalworthington Gardens is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States and a suburb of Arlington. The population was 2,259 at the 2010 census. History The community was established in 1934 as a subsistence homestead project during the Great Depression under the authority of the National Industrial Recovery Act as part of the Subsistence Homesteads Division. The purpose of the homestead program was to help families attain a better standard of living through a combination of part-time industrial employment and subsistence agriculture. Dalworthington Gardens was one of five such projects located in Texas.
