Mid-America Motorplex
Mid America Motorplex, now renamed Raceway Park of the Midlands (RPM), is an Alan Wilson (motorsport), Alan Wilson-designed road circuit in the Omaha – Council Bluffs metropolitan area, in Plattville Township, Mills County, Iowa, Mills County, just outside Pacific Junction, Iowa, Pacific Junction, Iowa. This facility includes a 2.23 mile road course and a 1/8-mile drag strip, known as I29 Dragway. It is a relatively safe track for people to learn to drive their cars at high-performance driving events. It is low-speed course (most cars under 300 bhp); maximum speeds are around with cornering speeds around , with the exception of Turn 4 which is a fairly fast left-hander at around 80–100 mph. There is a motorbike school at the track as well as most local car clubs such as the PCA-run driving education sessions and BMW Iowa Chapter driving schools. Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root.
