Microtralia Ovulum
''Microtralia ovulum'' is a species of minute air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial animal, terrestrial gastropod mollusk in the family Ellobiidae, the salt marsh snails. Shell description The gastropod shell, shell is minute, smooth, yellowish white, with about five whorl (mollusc), whorls beside the minute, rounded, sinistral and with half-immersed nucleus. The spire (mollusc), spire is moderately elevated and pointed. The sculpture (mollusc), sculpture is of fine regular impressed lines, parallel with the incremental striae. The suture (gastropod), suture is distinct. The body whorl, last whorl is with nearly parallel sides, rounded and slightly attenuated base. The columella (mollusc), columella is stout, strongly twisted, white, short. The outer lip is nearly straight, somewhat thickened, especially anteriorly, not lirate or denticulate internally. Ludwig Karl Georg Pfeiffer, also known as Louis Pfeiffer (4 July 1805 – 2 October 1877), was a German physician, botany, botanist and conchology, conchologist. Early life, Education & Medical Career Louis Pfeiffer was born in Cassel, the eldest son of the jurist Burkhard Wilhelm Pfeiffer and his wife Louise (née Harnier). Pfeiffer received his primary education in the Friedrichsgymnasium Kassel, Cassel Lyceum, where he distinguished himself academically, and by the age of fifteen was already at the top of his class. In 1820, political tensions forced his father to relocate the family to Lübeck, but Louis continued to excel, reaching the top of his class there as well.
