Christopher Norton
Christopher Norton (born June 22, 1953) is a British pianist and composer of Jazz, Jazz music. His pieces are standard in piano learning repitoire, especially the ABRSM piano grades. Education Norton was born in New Zealand. He worked as a composer-in-schools for a year after finishing his studies at the University of Otago, then freelanced as a composer, arranger and pianist. He moved to the UK in 1977 on a New Zealand Government Scholarship. He studied at York University, taught by Wilfred Meyers and David Blake (composer), David Blake. Career His earliest publications were with Universal Edition in London, and included ''Carol Jazz'' — improvisations on Christmas tunes — and ''Sing'n'Swing'', for choir, piano and percussion. Jazz

Blues is a music genre and musical form which originated in the Deep South of the United States around the 1860s. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century.
