Michael James Muccigrossi better known by his stage name Micky James, is an American singer, songwriter and musician. Life and career Early life Micky James was born Michael James Muccigrossi in Princeton, New Jersey, United States. James was introduced to music at an early age. He has stated that seeing a videotape of the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan show “ultimately led iminto being a performer and a guitar player and down the road a song writer.” James spent his formative years playing in bands. He toured extensively with his last group, the Karma Killers, before they disbanded in 2018. 2018–present: Solo career James released his debut single “Give It To Me Straight” in 2018, with the song premiering on Billboard and Sirius XM’s Alt Nation’s Advanced Placement. The Strokes
The Strokes are an American rock band from New York City. Formed in 1998, the band is composed of lead singer and songwriter Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. They were a leading group of the early-2000s indie rock revival. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. ''Is This It'' is the debut studio album by American rock band the Strokes. It was first released on July 30, 2001, in Australia, with RCA Records handling the release internationally and Rough Trade Records handling the United Kingdom release. It was recorded at Transporterraum in New York City with producer Gordon Raphael during March and April 2001. For their debut, the band strived to capture a simple sound that was not significantly enhanced in the studio. Building on their 2001 extended play, EP ''The Modern Age'', the band members molded compositions largely through live takes during recording sessions, while songwriter and lead singer Julian Casablancas continued to detail the lives and relationships of urban youth. Shep Goodman is an American New York–based multi-platinum record producer, songwriter, and musician. He got his start in the music industry, by fronting the Elektra Records signed rock-act, Coward. After the disbandment of the band, he started the music production company Sheppard Music Inc with Kenny Gioia. They were known as "Shep & Kenny", and began writing and producing for various artists.
