Micki Free (born May 20, 1955) is a guitarist and singer of Native American descent. He won a Grammy Award for his contribution to the ''Beverly Hills Cop'' (1984) movie soundtrack and has won two Native American Music Awards. He is the director of Promotions and Special Events for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, owners of Hard Rock International. Biography Micki Free was born in West Texas and moved to Germany soon afterward. He is of mixed Irish, Comanche, and Cherokee descent. His stepfather, a U.S. Army sergeant, was stationed in Germany, and Free was introduced to rock 'n' roll there as a child, when one of his five sisters received tickets to a Jimi Hendrix concert and took him along to the show. The Runaways
The Runaways were an American rock band who recorded and performed from 1975 to 1979. Formed in 1975 in Los Angeles, the band released four studio albums and one live album during its run. Maxine Joyce "Micki" King (born July 26, 1944) is an American former competitive diver and diving coach. She was a gold medal winner at the 1972 Summer Olympics in the three meter springboard event. She was the dominant figure in women's diving in the United States from 1965 to 1972, winning 10 national championships, including both springboard and platform events. At the 1968 Summer Olympics, she was in first place in the three meter springboard event when she broke her left arm on the ninth dive; she completed the tenth dive, but finished in fourth place. In 1972, she made a comeback at the Munich Olympics, winning the gold medal in the three meter springboard event. Micki Paige McElya (born 1972) is an American author and historian. She is a professor of History at the University of Connecticut. In 2017, her book ''The Politics of Mourning: Death and Honor in Arlington National Cemetery'' was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction. Micki Schillig Feldmann (born 29 November 1960) is an American former professional tennis player. Biography Schillig comes from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was a three-time state high school singles champion, before going on to play for San Diego State University (SDSU). During her time at SDSU she was an All-American on three occasions and as a junior in 1982 finished runner-up to Alycia Moulton in the inaugural NCAA singles championship. From 1983 to 1986 she competed on the professional tour, appearing in the main draws of Wimbledon and the US Open. Schillig's only grand slam win came earlier while she was still an amateur, at the 1982 US Open, where she upset highly ranked opponent Leslie Allen in the first round. Michael Steele (born Susan Thomas on June 2, 1955) is an American retired musician, best known as the bassist for the Bangles. Under the name Micki Steele, she was a founding member of the Runaways but left in 1975, shortly before the band's major label debut. For the next several years, she played with various other musical groups for short periods of time. In 1983, Steele replaced original bassist Annette Zilinskas as a member of the Bangles. Steele joined just in time to play on the band's first full-length album, ''All Over the Place (The Bangles album), All Over the Place''. She remained with the Bangles throughout the high point of their career, contributing as bassist, vocalist, and songwriter until the band's dissolution in 1989.
