Mick Cashman
Michael Cashman (1931 – 17 September 1988) was an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Cork senior team. Born in Blackrock, Cork, Cashman first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team before later joining the junior side. He joined the senior team during the 1951 championship. Cashman went on to enjoy a decade-long inter-county career and won two Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Cashman won six Railway Cup medals. At club level he won two championship medals with Blackrock. His brother-in-law, Jimmy Brohan, was a contemporary on the Cork hurling team, while his sons, Tom and Jim, enjoyed All-Ireland success with Cork. Blackrock GAA
Blackrock National Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located on the southside of Cork City, Ireland. The club was founded in 1883 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. No other Cork-based GAA club has won more Senior County Hurling titles or All-Ireland Club Championships. The club is sometimes known as 'The Rockies'. History Blackrock Hurling Club was officially founded in 1883, one year before the foundation of the Gaelic Athletic Association itself. Niall Cashman
Niall Cashman (born 26 July 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left wing-back for Cork Championship club Blackrock and at inter-county level with the Cork senior team. Playing career Blackrock Cashman joined Blackrock at a young age, a club with whom his family had a long tradition. His father, Jim Cashman, uncle, Tom Cashman, grandfather, Mick Cashman, and granduncle, Jimmy Brohan, were senior team mainstays from the 1950s until the 1990s. His underage career coincided with a hugely successful period for the club, with Cashman winning three successive minor titles before back-to-back under-21 championships in a five-year period between 2011 and 2015. Paddy Barry (Sarsfield's)
Patrick "Paddy" Barry (1928 – 18 December 2000) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Glounthaune, County Cork, Barry first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team. He made his senior debut during the 1947–48 league. Barry subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won three All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. The All-Ireland-winning captain of 1952, he was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Barry won four Railway Cup medal. Art Foley
Michael Arthur Foley (14 December 1928 – 28 October 2019) was an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Wexford senior team. Born in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Foley first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Wexford minor team. He joined the senior panel during the 1946–47 league. Foley later became a regular member of the starting fifteen, and won two All-Ireland medals, three Leinster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Foley won one Railway Cup medal. At club level he was a seven-time championship medallist with St Aidan's. Foley retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1957 championship. Christy Ring
Nicholas Christopher Michael Ring (30 October 1920 – 2 March 1979) was an Irish hurling, hurler whose National Hurling League, league and All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, championship career at senior level with the Cork county hurling team, Cork county team spanned twenty-four years from 1939 to 1963. Dave Creedon
David Creedon (1 August 1919 – 11 March 2007) was an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer whose league and championship career with the Cork senior team spanned seventeen years from 1938 to 1955. Born near Blackpool in Cork, Creedon first played competitive hurling during his schooling at the North Monastery. He subsequently joined the Glen Rovers senior team and, in a club career that spanned three decades, he won nine county senior championship medals, serving as captain of the team on one occasion. As a Gaelic footballer with the Glen's sister club, St. Nicholas', Creedon also won three county senior championship medals. He finished his club career with Nemo Rangers. Tom Mulcahy
Thomas J. Mulcahy (10 January 1923 – 9 November 2009) was an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper at senior level for the Cork county team. Mulcahy made his first appearance for the team during the 1943 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement following the conclusion of the 1950 championship. During that time he won three All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and one National League medal. Mulcahy was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Mulcahy was a four-time county senior championship medalist with St Finbarr's. Playing career Club Mulcahy played his club hurling with St Finbarr's and had much success.
