Holland, Michigan
Holland is a city in the western region of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan on Lake Macatawa, which is fed by the Macatawa River (formerly known locally as the Black River). Adam Zemke
Adam Frederick Zemke (born June 4, 1983) is a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives. He represented Michigan's 55th district, encompassing the cities of Ann Arbor (portion) and Milan (portion) and the townships of Ann Arbor, Augusta, Pittsfield, and York in Washtenaw County, since January 1, 2013, having been re-elected in November 2014 and November 2016. Saline, Michigan
Saline ( ') is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,948 at the 2020 census. The city borders Saline Township to the southwest, and the two are administered autonomously. History Before the 18th century, Native Americans traveled to what is now Saline to hunt wildlife and gather salt from the salt springs they found nearby. In the 18th century, French explorers canoed up to the area and also harvested the salt. They named the local river ''Saline'' ("salty"). Rick Olson (Michigan Politician)
Richard Thomas Olson (born November 18, 1949) is an American politician. He served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. Raised in the Upper Peninsula area of Michigan, Olson is an alumnus of Michigan State University and Stanford Law School and is a lawyer by profession. He previously worked for the Washington State Legislature and Governor of Washington's office. Olson was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives as a Republican in 2010 and served until 2013. Dundee is a village in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,323 at the 2020 census. The village is within Dundee Township and is served by Dundee Community Schools. Settled as early as 1823, Dundee was incorporated as a village in 1855. The Michigan Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the state of Michigan. It is based in Lansing. Lavora Barnes is the party's current chair. Kathy Angerer (born November 16, 1957) is currently the City Manager, and former Director of Community & Economic Development and Community and Governmental Affairs for the city of Hamtramck, Michigan (2013), and was Executive Director of Government Affairs at AT&T Michigan from 2011-2013. Manchester, Michigan
Manchester is a village in Manchester Township within Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,037 at the 2020 census. History Chicago Road In 1824 the United States Congress passed the General Survey Act, intended to create and maintain military roads through what was then the west of the country. One third of the funds allocated went to build a road between the strategic army posts of Detroit and Fort Dearborn, at the little town of Chicago. Known as the Chicago Road, it followed the old Sauk Trail and opened the entire area for settlement. Also in 1824, the land around today's Manchester was surveyed by John Mack, who noted it as being "a good mill seat."
