Joseph Allen Tate (born December 13, 1980) is an American politician and former professional football player from Michigan. Tate has served as a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives from District 2 since 2019 and as Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives since 2023. Bettie Cook Scott
Bettie Cook Scott (born May 31, 1953) is an American Democratic Party politician who served in the Michigan House of Representatives from the 2nd district from 2017 to 2018. She previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from the 3rd district from 2007 to 2010. Between 2007 and 2010 Representative Scott worked to amend the Driver Responsibility Act of 2003 while serving on the Michigan House's Labor committee and Regulatory Reform committee.
