Michigan's 26th House of Representatives district (also referred to as Michigan's 26th House district) is a legislative district within the Michigan House of Representatives located in part of Wayne County. An election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect all 110 members to Michigan's House of Representatives. Garden City is a city in Wayne County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 27,692. Jim Townsend (born 1965/1966) represented the 26th district in the Michigan House of Representatives from January 2011 until January 2017. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Marie Donigan (born June 17, 1954) is an American politician and architect who served as a member of the Michigan State House of Representatives for the 26th District from January 1, 2005 to January 1, 2011. Early life and education Donigan was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and attended Dondero High School. She earned a B.S. from Western Michigan University and a M.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
