Michigan's 102nd House of Representatives district (also referred to as Michigan's 102nd House district) is a legislative district within the Michigan House of Representatives located in parts of Manistee, Mason, Muskegon, and Oceana counties. Ludington, Michigan
Ludington ( ) is the largest city and county seat of Mason County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,076. Ludington is a harbor town located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Pere Marquette River. Many people come to Ludington year round for recreation, including boating and swimming on Lake Michigan, Hamlin Lake, and other smaller inland lakes, as well as hunting, fishing, and camping. Manton is a city in Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,258 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and (3.11%) is water. Major highways * is a business loop of U.S. Route 131 that runs through Manton. Michele Hoitenga (born July 26, 1969) is an American politician and energy consultant from Michigan. Hoitenga is a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives from the District 102 since 2017. Early life Hoitenga graduated from Buckley High School. Education Hoitenga graduated with a degree in Human Services from Baker College. Career Hoitenga is a former Legislative assistant in Michigan. Hoitenga is an energy consultant. In 2013, Hoitenga became the mayor of Manton, Michigan until 2016. On November 8, 2016, Hoitenga won the election and became a Republican member of Michigan House of Representatives for District 102. Cadillac ( ) is a city in and county seat of Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,371 at the 2020 census, which ranks it the third most-populated city in the Northern Michigan region after Traverse City and Alpena. Philip Potvin
Phil Potvin (born November 7, 1946) is a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives, first elected in 2010 and re-elected to a second term in 2012. His district consisted of Wexford, Mecosta, and western Osceola Counties. Potvin was the chief executive officer of Western Concrete Products Company, and board chairman and executive committee member of the National Concrete Masonry Association. He also served as a second lieutenant in the Michigan National Guard. Evart ( ) is a city in Osceola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,903 at the 2010 census. The city lies on the northern edge of Evart Township and is partially within neighboring Osceola Township, although the city is administered autonomously. History Evart was founded in 1871 by D. A. LeRoy is a village in Osceola County of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 256 at the 2010 census. The village is located within LeRoy Township. History A post office in LeRoy has been in operation since 1871, with James E. Bevins serving as postmaster from 1871 to 1895. In 1871 S.L. Kimball, M.
