Micheál Webster
Micheál Webster (born 1 August 1977) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who played as a full-forward for the Tipperary senior team. Webster made his first appearance for the Tipperary senior football team during the 2003 National League and was a regular dual player until his retirement after the 2009 hurling championship. During that time he won two Munster hurling medals. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Webster is a dual county senior championship medalist with Loughmore–Castleiney. Playing career Club Webster plays his club hurling and football with Loughmore–Castleiney GAA. In 2004 he was a member of the Loughmore senior football team that reached the county championship decider. Moyle Rovers were the opponents, however, a 0-9 to 0-6 victory gave Webster a county football championship medal. Loughmore
Loughmore, officially Loughmoe ( ; or ''Luachma''), is a village in County Tipperary, Ireland. The village is best known for Loughmoe Castle, seat of the Barons of Loughmoe. It is one half of the parish of Loughmore-Castleiney in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Loughmoe gives its name to the civil parish of Loughmoe West which is in the historical barony of Eliogarty. Toponymy The village's Irish-language name ''Luach Maigh'' (earlier: ''Luach-mhagh'') means "reward-field". Today's ''Loughmore'' – which would correspond to Irish ''Loch Mór'' ("great lake") – is the result of a mistake by British mapmakers of the 19th century. The Purcell family's Loughmoe Castle, near the village, retains a more accurate and older version of the name. Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary County Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The prize for the winning team is the Dan Breen Cup. Initially played as a knock-out competition on a divisional basis, the championship currently features a group stage followed by a knock-out stage. The Tipperary County Championship is an integral part of the wider Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship. Henry Shefflin
Henry Shefflin (born 11 January 1979) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who is the current manager of the Galway senior hurling team. In his playing career he was nicknamed "King Henry" because of his directive style, dominance, competitive spirit and leadership on the field. A versatile forward who started out in the corner, Shefflin made his name in more commanding positions as a centre or full-forward. He is widely regarded to be one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, with many former players, commentators and fans rating him as the number one player of all time. Raised in Ballyhale, County Kilkenny, Shefflin served an obligatory but underrated hurling apprenticeship at St Kieran's College. The Down County Board ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae An Dún) or Down GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Down, Northern Ireland.
