Michele Šego
Michele Šego (; born 5 August 2000) is a Croatian footballer who plays as a forward for Varaždin in the Croatian First Football League. Career Šego started playing football in the local minnows' NK Omladinac Vranjic' football school. After spending five years in the youth ranks of Adriatic Split, he was hailed as the biggest talent in the club, netting over 50 goals every season. He eventually joined the Croatian national U15 team, before moving on to the Hajduk Split academy at the age of 16. After a quality display in the first half of the season with Hajduk's reserve team, he got called up for their senior team's League match against Cibalia that took place on 11 February 2018. He scored his first goal for Hajduk's official senior squad match against Istra 1961 on May 9, 2018, netting a volley for a 1-5 victory. The Slovenian PrvaLiga ( sl, Prva slovenska nogometna liga, ), currently named Prva liga Telemach due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. Nogometni klub Istra 1961 ( en, Istra 1961 Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Istra 1961, or simply Istra 1961 or Istra, is a Croatian professional football club from Pula, currently playing in the Croatian First League. It is a common opinion amongst many people that ''Istra 1961'' was founded in 1961 by merging two clubs from Pula, NK Uljanik and NK Pula, forming NK Istra. However, NK Istra is not the same club as NK Istra 1961. NK Istra 1961, then named NK Uljanik, was founded in 1964. NK Istra were competing in Prva HNL since the first season, but were relegated in the 1996–97 season to Druga HNL. Hrvatski nogometni klub Cibalia, commonly known as Cibalia Vinkovci or simply Cibalia, is a Croatian football club from the town of Vinkovci in eastern Croatia. 2017–18 Croatian First Football League
The 2017–18 Croatian First Football League (officially Hrvatski Telekom Prva liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 27th season of the Croatian First Football League, the national championship for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 14 July 2017 and ended on 19 May 2018. The league was contested by 10 teams.
