Michel Mazaré (born 14 January 1954 in Villeneuve-sur-Lot), is a French former rugby league footballer who played as and , and later, coach. Career At club level, he played his entire career for Villeneuve XIII RLLG, Villeneuve-sur-Lot winning a French Rugby League Championship, French Championship title in 1980, as well a Lord Derby Cup title in 1979. He also represented France national rugby league team, France After his sports career, he trained Villeneuve-sur-Lot in the 1980s, France in 1991 and Paris Saint-Germain Rugby League, Paris Saint Germain during its appearance in Super League. Villeneuve-sur-Lot (; in the Languedocien dialect of Occitan language: ''Vilanuèva d'Òlt'' ) is a town and Communes of France, commune in the southwestern French Departments of France, department of Lot-et-Garonne. Villeneuve XIII originally called Sports Athletic Villeneuvois XIII are a semi-professional rugby league team based in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in south-western France. Formed in 1934, the first French rugby league club, they currently play in the Super XIII the highest level of rugby league in France. They have won both the league title and the cup on nine occasions. Their home stadium is the Stade Max Rousie.
