Michel Diouf
Michel Diogoye Diouf (born 19 April 1989) is a Senegalese basketball player for Bakken Bears and . Diouf is a four-time winner of the Basketligaen Defender of the Year award. He is the current all-time leader in points, rebounds and blocks in the FIBA Europe Cup. Career In the 2020–21 season, Diouf won his fifth Basketligaen championship with Bakken Bears and was named the Finals MVP. On 21 March 2022, Diouf became the all-time leading scorer of the FIBA Europe Cup in a quarterfinal game against Oradea. He surpassed Trae Golden's record of 789 total points. Bakken Bears
Bakken Bears is a Denmark, Danish professional basketball club based in Aarhus. The club plays in the Basketligaen, the top tier basketball league in Denmark. Founded in 1953, the club has won the Basketligaen 20 times and holds the record for the most championships and has won 11 Danish Men's Basketball Cup, Danish Cups. Along with their domestic play, the club is a regular in European professional club basketball system, European competitions. The Bears are a three-time semifinalist of the FIBA Europe Cup. Robert Wilson "Trae" Golden (born October 5, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Beijing Royal Fighters of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He competed in college for Tennessee and Georgia Tech. On July 9, 2017 he signed with ESSM Le Portel of the French Pro A league. The 2015–16 Basketligaen was the 41st season of the highest professional basketball tier in Denmark. The season started on October 3, 2015 and ended on May 9, 2016. Horsens IC won the Danish championship for the second year in a row, after it defeated Bakken Bears in the Finals. Competition format The participating teams first played a round-robin schedule with every team playing each opponent twice home and twice away for a total of 28 games. The top six teams qualified for the championship playoffs whilst the two last qualified were relegated to Division 1. The 2019–20 Basketligaen is the 45th season of the highest professional basketball tier in Denmark. The season started on 22 September 2019 and was scheduled to end on 13 May 2020. On 17 March 2020, the season was ended prematurely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the standings at that time, the Bakken Bears were named Danish champions, defending its title. Competition format Teams were divided into two groups: Pro A, joined by the best five teams in the previous season, and Pro B, the rest of the teams. Each team was scheduled to play four times against each other team in their group, and twice with teams from the other group.
