Michel Celaya
Michel Celaya (4 July 1930 – 2 January 2020) was a French rugby union player who played at back-row for the France national rugby union team and Biarritz Olympique. Early life and career Michel Celaya was born on 4 July 1930 in Biarritz, France. Celaya earned his first cap for the France national rugby union team on 28 February 1953. He made a total of 50 official appearances for the French national team between 1953 and 1961. Celaya was part of the French national team that won the Five Nations Championship in 1954, 1955, 1959, 1960 and 1961. Celaya spent his entire club career at Biarritz Olympique. 1960 Five Nations Championship
The 1960 Five Nations Championship was the thirty-first series of the rugby union Five Nations Championship. Including the previous incarnations as the Home Nations and Five Nations, this was the sixty-sixth series of the northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 9 January and 9 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The championship was jointly won by England and France. Both teams beat Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the France-England game was drawn 3-3, giving both teams a total of 7 points in the final table. There was no tie-break in the Five Nations at the time and the championship was shared.
