Micheal Clemons
Micheal Clemons (born August 21, 1997) is an American football defensive end for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Cisco College before transferring to Texas A&M Aggies football, Texas A&M. Early life and high school Clemons grew up in Garland, Texas and attended Sachse High School. College career Clemons began his collegiate career at Cisco College. In his lone season with the Wranglers, he recorded 30 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in six games played. After the season, Clemons committed to transfer to Texas A&M Aggies football, Texas A&M. Clemons played in 13 games in his first season at Texas A&M and had 19 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one sack. He suffered a foot injury during preseason training camp going into his junior season and used a medical redshirt (college sports), redshirt. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. Redshirt (college Sports)
Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Using this mechanism, a student athlete has at most five academic years to use the four years of eligibility, thus becoming what is termed a fifth-year senior. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. It was the first draft to be held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The first five selections were defensive players, the second-most taken at the start of a draft after the six in 1991.
