Arachne is an Internet suite containing a graphical web browser, email client, and dialer. Originally, Arachne was developed by Michal Polák under his xChaos label, a name he later changed into Arachne Labs. It was written in C and compiled using Borland C++ 3.1. Arachne has since been released under the GPL as Arachne GPL. Arachne primarily runs on DOS-based operating systems, but there are also builds available for Linux. The Linux version of Arachne utilizes SVGALib, allowing it to function without requiring a display server. Background Arachne supports many file formats, protocols and standards including video modes from CGA 640×200 in monochrome to VESA 1024×768 in high color mode ( colors). It is designed for systems that do not have any windowing system installed. Arachne supports multiple image formats including JPEG, PNG, BMP and animated GIF. Michel Polak
Michel Polak (27 January 1885 – 4 October 1948) was a Belgian-Swiss architect. Career Polak used various styles according to the tastes of his clientele: Beaux-Arts, Art Deco, refined modern classicism. In Brussels, he notably designed the Residence Palace, the Hôtel Le Plaza, and the Villa Empain, during the first half of the 20th century. FK Lokomotíva Devínska Nová Ves, also known as FCL DNV, is a Slovak football club based in Devínska Nová Ves, a borough of the capital Bratislava. It plays in the 3rd League. History Football club in Devínska Nová Ves was established in 1923 under the name ŠK Devínska Nová Ves. A few years later became the Devínska another club called Red Star. In 1927 changed its name to ŠK Slovan Devínska Nová Ves. In 1929 Red Star disappeared and ceased to operate and Slovan. In early 1930, however, a new club Slovan ŠK Devínska Nová Ves.
