Michael Wright (Australian Footballer)
Michael Wright (born 6 October 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Wright was a versatile key-position player, recruited from Oakleigh Districts, the same club his brother Stephen started out at. Their father Jack holds the most games played record with the Box Hill Football Club. He first played in the 1978 VFL season. In his second game, against Fitzroy at Junction Oval, he kicked five behinds but only one goal. Despite starting as a forward, he was often as a full-back by South Melbourne and he had his most productive season in 1979 with 17 appearances. He played some good football from centre half-forward in 1980 and in a win over Footscray took nine marks and had 21 disposals. In 1981 he was involved in a three-way trade, which resulted in him joining SANFL club Central District. Michael Wright (architect)
Alec Michael John Wright, CMG (; 19 September 1912 – 26 January 2018) was a chartered surveyor and Director of Public Works of Hong Kong. He was a longtime colonial civil servant and chief architect of the Public Works Department. He was also an official member of the Legislative Council and Urban Council. He was responsible for many infrastructure and housing projects and advocated for private bathroom and kitchen in every unit of the housing estate which is known as the "Wright Principle". Michael Wright is an artist and painter and working in both traditional and electronic media. He holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing and a BA in European History from the University of Washington, Seattle. He began his career as a painter, but began to explore Digital Media in the mid 1980s on an Amiga computer. He exhibited his first Digital Prints in 1989 and continues to work in both traditional and electronic media.
