Michael Douglas White (born January 25, 1951) is a professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, where he is also the associate director of the Center for Violence Prevention and Community Safety and director of the doctoral program in criminology and criminal justice. Michael White (born 8 January 1987) is a Welsh-born New Zealand footballer, currently playing for ASB Premiership side Canterbury United FC. Career White started his football with Richmond Athletic and played for Canterbury United during the 2005-06 NZFC season, he can play in various midfield and attacking roles. He joined Australian A-League side New Zealand Knights in 2006, before joining Waitakere United for the remainder of the NZFC season. In mid-2007 he moved to his place of birth, Wales, and joined Rhyl FC in the Welsh Premier League, finishing Top Goal Scorer. 2009 found him back in New Zealand and playing for Central Premier League side Miramar Rangers, winning the 2010 Chatham Cup. Michael White (judge)
Michael White (born 1953) is an Irish judge who served as a judge of the High Court between 2011 and 2021 and a judge of the Circuit Court between 1996 and 2011. He was formerly a politician and solicitor and was one of the first solicitors to be appointed the Irish judiciary. Early career White was born in Carndonagh, County Donegal. His father Michael was a solicitor. He attended St Patrick's Boys' National School, Carndonagh Boys Secondary School and Gormanston College. He graduated with a degree in law from University College Dublin in 1973 and qualified as a solicitor in 1975. He engaged in socialist activism during his time in university and joined the Workers' Party of Ireland. Michael Simon White (16 January 1936 – 7 March 2016) was a British theatrical impresario and film producer. White was responsible for 101 stage productions and 27 films over 50 years. Early life Michael White was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Victor White, a merchant who ran a glove making business, and Doris (née Cohen), a property developer. His parents were from Eastern European Jewish backgrounds. As White suffered from asthma as a boy, his parents decided he would be educated as a boarder at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz in Switzerland from age 7, where he was the only boy who did not speak the French language. He then graduated from the Sorbonne in Paris. Early life A native of New Zealand's capital of Wellington, White grew up playing multiple sports, most notably soccer and softball. In a 2023 interview, White told ESPN writer Dave Wilson that he had hopes of making the national soccer team, but a planned training trip to Fiji and New Caledonia was scuttled due to civil unrest in Fiji. Michael White (born March 25, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played his first two years of college football at South Florida and his last two at Western Kentucky. White was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, where he spent one season, before joining the Jets the following year. A backup during his first three seasons, White did not see any playing time until 2021 in relief of injured starter Zach Wilson. James Michael White (born August 11, 1957) is an American college football coach and former professional player. He served as head football coach at Albany State University (ASU) in Albany, Georgia from 2000 to 2014 and Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina from 2015 to 2019. White played college football as a defensive tackle at Albany State during the late 1970s, and later was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 1979 NFL Draft. Michael Emerson White (born March 2, 1977) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is the head coach of the University of Georgia men's basketball team. Prior to accepting the job at Georgia, White was the head coach of the Florida Gators from 2015 to 2022 and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from 2011 to 2015. Primarily an outfielder, White appeared in Major League Baseball for all or parts of three seasons (1963–65) for the Houston Colt .45s / Astros.
