Michael Robinson (1948–2010) was a Canadian artist, glassblower, and poet who investigated Indigenous, spiritual, and environmental themes. Biography Michael Robinson was born in Toronto, Ontario, on 27 March 1948. Trained at Sheridan College's School of Design (Glass Major, 1969–1971), Robinson was an artist, glassblower, printmaker, and writer. He exhibited widely throughout Ontario, but also nationally (British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Newfoundland) and internationally (United States, Switzerland, Germany), and he received several national and provincial awards, as well as grants. Robinson died on 28 July 2010 in Peterborough Ontario. Michael Waller Robinson
Michael Waller Robinson (October 13, 1837 – July 23, 1912) was an American lawyer, educator, and politician from Missouri. Graduating from Yale University at the age of nineteen, Robinson taught at Baptist State College, where he became college president in 1860. He attended Harvard Law School then successfully ran for a seat in the Missouri House of Representatives. After attending the 1864 Democratic National Convention as a delegate, Robinson decided to move to Chicago, Illinois and became a prominent lawyer there. In January 2014 he left the position of Brand and Design Director of Gruppo Bertone after its financial crises became obvious, to become the chief executive officer and design director of ED Design in Turin, Italy. Michael Robinson (RAF Officer)
Michael Lister Robinson (8 May 1917 – 10 April 1942) was a British flying ace of the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War. He is credited with shooting down at least sixteen aircraft. Born in Chelsea, London, Robinson joined the RAF in 1935. Once his training was completed, he was posted to No. 111 Squadron but by the time of the outbreak of the Second World War, he was serving as an instructor. In March 1940, he was sent to France where he flew with No. 87 Squadron until he was injured in an aircraft accident and repatriated to the United Kingdom for hospital treatment. Once he recovered from his injuries he was posted to No. 601 Squadron and flew extensively in the later stages of the Battle of Britain, during which he shot down several aircraft. Michael Aaron Robinson (December 13, 1924 – July 20, 2006) was an American Reform rabbi, civil rights activist, and human rights activist. He was known for his association with Martin Luther King Jr., with whom he marched in Selma and on whose request he participated in a 1964 demonstration in St. Augustine, Florida, at which he was arrested and jailed together with 15 other Reform rabbis. He was for decades the rabbi of Temple Israel in Northern Westchester, New York. After his retirement, he served for seven years as a part-time rabbi at Congregation Shomrei Torah in Santa Rosa, California.
