Michael Pärt
Michael Pärt (sometimes spelled Michael Paert, , born 17 August 1977) is an Estonian music producer and music editor. Since 2010 he is chairman of the board of the Arvo Pärt Centre. He also owns a music editing company Michael Pärt Musik. Biography Michael Pärt was born as a younger son of classical composer Arvo Pärt and his wife Nora. In 1980 the family left the Soviet Union for political reasons. Michael Pärt spent his childhood and youth in Austria, Germany, and the United Kingdom before returning to Estonia in 2008. He holds a Master's degree in Music for Composing for Film and TV with distinction from Kingston University in London. MPSE
Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) is an American honorary society of motion picture sound editors founded in 1953. The society's goals are to educate others about and increase the recognition of the sound editors, show the artistic merit of the soundtracks, and improve the professional relationship of its members. The society is not to be confused with an industry union, such as the I.A.T.S.E. The current president is Mark Lanza. The names of active members of the MPSE will generally appear in film credits with the post-nominal letters "MPSE". Howard Shore
Howard Leslie Shore (born October 18, 1946) is a Canadian composer and conductor noted for his film scores. He has composed the scores for over 80 films, most notably the scores for ''The Lord of the Rings'' and ''The Hobbit'' film trilogies. He won three Academy Awards for his work on ''The Lord of the Rings'', with one being for the song " Into the West", an award he shared with Eurythmics lead vocalist Annie Lennox and writer/producer Fran Walsh, who wrote the lyrics. He is also a consistent collaborator with director David Cronenberg, having scored all but one of his films since 1979.
