Dr. Michael A. Palese, is an American Urology, urologist specializing in Robotic surgery, robotic, Laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic and Endoscopy, endoscopic surgery, with a special emphasis on robotic surgeries relating to kidney cancer and kidney stone disease. Palese is the Chairman of the Department of Urology at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He is a professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Urology (from Greek οὖρον ''ouron'' "urine" and '' -logia'' "study of"), also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the urinary-tract system and the reproductive organs. Organs under the domain of urology include the kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis). North General Hospital
North General Hospital (NGH) was an American private, not-for-profit, voluntary teaching hospital located in New York City in the East Harlem section of Manhattan at Marcus Garvey Park. It was founded in 1979 to replace, as tenant, the Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD), which vacated its East Harlem facility and moved that same year downtown to East 17th street at Stuyvesant Square.
